On the main stage, 10 team finalists from the xTechSearch 3 Accelerator competition will pitch and demo their technology solutions aimed at tackling the Army’s most critical modernization challenges, and compete for a grand prize of $250,ooo. The xTechSearch prize competition, known as “The Original Army Technology Innovation Competition” is a biannual 4-million-dollar prize pool sponsored by the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA(ALT)), targeting small businesses and nontraditional companies to uncover novel dual-use science and technology solutions. Over $7.5 million has been awarded and 1000+ technologies have been evaluated.

The summit will run from September 9th through the 11th. You can register here. A previous winner, Adranos Inc., is increasing rocket range by 40 percent. Before the Army’s xTechSearch, the company worked on a new solid propellant without even considering defense applications like hypersonics.
