Resilience bleg

A few weeks ago I was invited to speak at a National Security Strategy Retreat on a panel about cronyism. That prompted several blog posts on cronyism (1, 2) and corporate welfare (1, 2, 3).

I was recently invited to speak at MIT Lincoln Labs on a panel about system resiliency. Expect to see posts over the next couple weeks about how we can build resilience. Here’s the panel topic:

The focus of this panel discussion will be on understanding how to build resiliency. What rules and policies could lead to desired behaviors? How to educate and incentivize builders, maintainers, and operators at the technological and organizational levels in order to increase performance while operating in a contested environment? How does an organization create capacity?

Please shoot me anything interesting about resiliency — or about whatever else! I’ll also be in Boston for St Patrick’s day (the talk is the next day). Any Boston tips for a first timer?
