On a similar note, the National Interest reports that the Army wants the F-35 over the A-10 for ground support. Here’s a taste: “‘The F-35 has increased survivability and it will play a decisive role in the support of ground combat,’ Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley told reporters at the Association of the United States Army Annual Symposium.” I’d like to see some evidence of that.
