Yeah imagine that. “The first airborne tests are expected to take place by 2021…” The Air Force was just popping balloons out of a C-130J, but perhaps they realize that fragile modern fighters might be compromised by relatively weak lasers. But the wrong reaction would be, “that’s silly, let’s shut these guys down,” because our expectations might be wrong. I would want to know who are the “true believers” on the project and see if I believed in them.
